Ellen Grudzien, Lead Teacher Director

Ellen has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 15 years and has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Springfield College.

Her experience as a Director and Teacher led her to open The Amherst Preschool in 2009.  Ellen believes children learn best in an environment where they are nurtured and respected.  She has designed the
programs at The Amherst Preschool to reflect her philosophy that children need to explore their environment with hands-on activities and be active in the learning process.

Through her love of YOGA, Ellen recently became a certified Child Light Yoga instructor.  She practices YOGA with the Four Year Old groups twice a month.

Ellen is the Lead Teacher for both the 3 year old program and the 3 day 4 year old program.

Jamie has been an active part of the Early Childhood classroom since 2001 in a variety of roles, with her most recent position as Associate Teacher.

While staying home with her two boys, who are graduates of TAP, Jamie had the opportunity to be actively involved with our school as a substitute teacher and always knew she would return when a position became available.

Jamie appreciates the spontaneity of the preschooler and looks forward to each day as it is always an adventure!
